Believing that many of today's social problems are thought to be the direct result of there being too much power in the hands of too few people, they feel committed to creating a fairer world where the majority of people have equal access to products, services and opportunities.

Passionate about the need for fundamental change in how the global economy operates, they would also encourage others to take responsibility for reducing the gap between the rich and the poor.

The espousal of this attribute tends to increase with age. Through a life of hard knocks, many espousers being in mid to lower income groups, they have learned that misfortune is not evenly distributed and if experienced many people have rarely brought it upon themselves. Their awareness of the unjust differences between the world's poorest communities and the wealthier countries leaves them feeling frustrated.

They also believe that there is a clear link between the unfair distribution of wealth and the earth's environmental crisis. Again, they feel compelled to do something about it, however small, because they consider it important to walk the talk; such as buying products only from companies that are conscious of their impact on the environment.

With a strong sense of obligation, these individuals like to get their hands dirty and to make a things better in some way. They dedicate their lives to making a difference and to countering the effects of people who focus on getting what they want, often at the expense of others. Their vision of the future is a world where we learn from other cultures how to live together in more effective and sustainable ways - when we can live side by side with people from different ethnic, racial and social backgrounds and be able to create a more just and fairer society.
